REPCO reserves capacity on the hydrogen core network via GASCADE

By signing a capacity reservation agreement, the transmission system operator GASCADE Gastransport GmbH (GASCADE) and rostock EnergyPort cooperation GmbH (REPCO) have laid the groundwork for feeding hydrogen into the core hydrogen network.
The reservation agreement now concluded allows for the injection of around 2 tonnes of green hydrogen per hour, which can be made available to end users along the pipeline. The reservation provides producers and potential customers with an early, reliable basis for potential collaborations.

In the future, the hydrogen will be fed into the network via the HYROW hydrogen pipeline, which connects HyTechHafen Rostock to the hydrogen core network at Wrangelsburg (Vorpommern-Greifswald district). From there, the hydrogen can be transported to other consumption regions via the north-south axis of the ‘Flow – making hydrogen happen’ programme.
